INT. TIHAR JAIL – DAY
The camera zooms into the gritty, dimly lit corridors of Tihar Jail. In one of the cells, ARVIND KEJRIWAL, Chief Minister of Delhi, is seated on a cot, reading a newspaper. Suddenly, the figure of DHARMARAJ YUDHISHTHIRA, dressed in ancient attire, appears at the bars.
YUDHISHTHIRA
(with a gaze as sharp as his words)
Kejriwal! I’m Yudhishthira, from way back when. I’ve come to see what’s become of Hastinapur.
Kejriwal looks up, surprised yet composed.
KEJRIWAL
(smiling faintly)
Well, well, Yudhishthira. Ain’t every day a time-traveler walks into my humble abode. What’s the beef?
YUDHISHTHIRA
(cutting straight to it)
Back in my day, Hastinapur stood tall and righteous. Now? Seems it’s lost its way.
Kejriwal sets down the newspaper, sizing up the ancient king.
KEJRIWAL
(chuckling)
Times change, brother. We fight different battles now. Upholding honesty and integrity ain’t always a cakewalk.
YUDHISHTHIRA
(grimacing)
Honesty? Integrity? Behind these bars?
Kejriwal gives a knowing grin, leaning forward slightly.
KEJRIWAL
You ain’t wrong, my friend. Politics today? It’s a whole new beast. How’d you manage back then without getting sucked into the power games?
YUDHISHTHIRA
(eyes narrowing)
We had purpose, Kejriwal. We held ourselves to the highest moral standards. But now? Hastinapur’s a mess.
Kejriwal meets Yudhishthira’s gaze, holding his ground.
KEJRIWAL
(straight-faced)
Governing ain’t easy, Yudhishthira. We strive for transparency, fight against corruption. It’s an uphill battle, but we’re in it for the people.
YUDHISHTHIRA
(mockingly)
Intentions, huh? What about results? Poverty in the shadows of riches, corruption masked as governance… Where’s the justice, Kejriwal?
Kejriwal pauses, then responds with conviction.
KEJRIWAL
(gritting his teeth)
We’re fixing what’s broken, Yudhishthira. No hiding from our mistakes, no turning a blind eye. We’re in this for the long haul.
YUDHISHTHIRA
(eyes flashing)
Intentions shape actions, Kejriwal. But actions must match virtues. You ain’t afraid of history’s judgment for the path you’re treading?
Kejriwal leans back, his tone defiant yet reflective.
KEJRIWAL
(firmly)
History? It’s got its eyes on all of us, Yudhishthira. But we’re fighting to make things right, no matter the odds.
The dialogue between the ancient king and the modern-day politician continues, echoing through the gritty confines of Tihar Jail. Each exchange a clash of eras, a battle of ideals in the relentless march of time.
FADE OUT.
END OF SCENE.
