Istanbul (Attack): Joint of Lust & Fanatics

Istanbul is where continents collide; which includes the collision of culture and beliefs. Istanbul is the economic, cultural and historic center of Turkey; it is also called the transcontinental city in Eurasia separating Europe and Asia. Turkey is surrounded around with some most diversified cultures. Neighboring Europe is most moderate and open-minded society and some very volatile nations with conservative mindset and are engulfed in non ending fights in the name of ethnicity and religious cleansing.

Istanbul is one of the biggest tourist attractions which include fancy bars and exotic resorts. Icing on the cake is that the prostitution is legal in the country and also provides a market place for the international hustler which draws big fish from Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa to have a fun of their life.

Contrary to the above situation, Istanbul is now growing as fun place for fanatics. It all started when the government of Turkey believed that fanatics can be controlled and can utilize for another purpose, it was like playing with an exploding nuclear reactor. Erdogan never thought that he will be ruining the most beautiful country so smartly just to gain some political gain. No religion is fit for a country, all religious ideology is to wreck human intelligence and stop him to think and evolve.

IS has carried out at least eight big attacks in Turkey, including the deadliest in the country’s history, a suicide-bombing that killed more than 100 people in October 2015, latest being the attack in night club resulting 39 death and 70 injury. God knows how many attacks are in queue to destroy the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman legacy.

It is such a paradoxical situation where lust and fanatics destroy the secular essence of a nation which once holds the historical strategic position on the Silk Road. What a heritage we witnessed in Istanbul and now what we are leaving for the coming generations? If nothing can be added because of the stubborn nature of current league, why not allow the existing heritage be intact.

If god is the almighty then let him fix what he thinks wrong, we are no one to take sword and correct things in his name. Eye for an eye only makes the world blind; forgiveness, humanity and love are the real god, have these attributes and be worthy to exists in this living planet.
